A lifelong volunteer, Roger French has generously offered his services to the community without expectations of getting something in return. Roger is a member of the LaVergne Senior Citizen Advisory Committee where he managed a partnership with Kroger Co. in donating food items to help elderly residents.
Roger graduated from Polo Community High School in Illinois. He has two daughters, Dorothy (a culinary lead for a senior assisted living center) and Shawna (an operator of a commercial fishing business on the Mississippi River). Additionally, Roger has two granddaughters and one grandson.
Roger retired from Kroger in January 2022, so he has more time to spend with his wife, Julia, and his four-legged friends. Roger believes that a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work.
